Those interested in enrolling at Italian Universities and Higher Education Institutions shall take a careful reading of the new procedures published by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, for the academic year 2023-2024, and available in Italian and English at the following link:
It should be noted that, in order to start the University pre-enrolment procedures, candidates must access the UNIVERSITALY portal to fill in the relative pre-enrolment application for the chosen study courses, which will have to be submitted exclusively online.
Please note that for the Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree courses (two-year or single-cycle), single academic courses, courses of the Institutions of Higher Education in Music and Dance (AFAM), the Higher Schools of Linguistic Mediation (SSML), the Marco Polo and Turandot Projects, and for the courses provided by Institutes of specialization in psychotherapy, the entire procedure at the Embassy, including the visa issuing, must be completed by 30 November 2023. Those interested are therefore invited to submit to this Embassy with adequate advance the documentation related to the visa application.
Attention is also drawn to the fact that for University Masters, Doctorates, Courses at Specialization schools and those of Italian language and culture, as well as for preparatory courses (foundation course) and for the Post-graduate technical specialization courses provided by Higher Technical Institute (ITS), the student must submit the visa application compatibly with the start of the courses themselves, which can take place at any time of the year.
Within the UNIVERSITALY portal the candidate will find all the information for the completion of the pre-enrolment application, aimed at facilitating the access of candidates to University courses and related Institutions.
In order to enhance the promotion of the attendance of University or post-University level courses in Italy by foreign students, the Italian Government has provided funds for each of the years 2022/2023/2024 in favor of the Uni-Italia Association, which will be able to offer guidance and assistance services to those interested.
