Italian National Visa for Study<\/h4>\n

GENERAL INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

To make an appointment please register and book your appointment on our online portal PRENOT@MI<\/a><\/p>\n

If you do not find an appointment, due to the high demand of requests, we suggest that you patiently check daily our appointment system on PRENOT@MI<\/a> for cancellations.<\/p>\n

The terms for issuing national entry visas are 90 days.<\/p>\n

ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>You can apply for a National visa for study at our Embassy if you hold a valid Georgian residence permit. Please note that the Georgian residence permit MUST HAVE at least three (3) months validity from the end date of your study program.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

If the applicants does not meet this requirement, they must apply at the relevant Italian Consulate of the country of permanent residence\/nationality.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

A)\u00a0 Students enrolling in full Italian University Programs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Appointments must be requested on the online system Prenot@mi<\/a> upon confirmation of a pre-admission to an Italian study program.<\/p>\n

Applicants must always appear in person to submit the visa application and must provide the following documentation on the day of the appointment:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Application form<\/strong> duly filled and printed out [Link<\/a>];<\/li>\n
  2. Valid passport or travel document<\/strong> (original plus one photocopy), valid at least three (3) months beyond the return date from your trip and at least with two blank pages;<\/li>\n
  3. Valid Georgian Residence Permit<\/strong> (original to be shown on appointment and one photocopy); Please note that the Georgian residence permit MUST HAVE at least three (3) months validity from the end date of your study program;<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Passport-style photo<\/strong> full front and white background and not older than 6 months, respecting ICAO standards<\/a>;<\/li>\n
  5. Universitaly pre-inscription form<\/strong> (to be printed out on the Universitaly website<\/a>);<\/li>\n
  6. Pre-inscription letter <\/strong>of acceptance from the Italian University;<\/li>\n
  7. Declaration of value<\/strong> (if applicable), issued by the Italian Consulate\/Embassy having jurisdiction over the University\/ School that issued the certificate;<\/li>\n
  8. Any other documentation<\/strong> required from the University<\/strong> (ex: CIMEA, ARDI, Diploma supplement, etc.);<\/li>\n
  9. Travel tickets reservation<\/strong>: if traveling by plane, the reservation must show reservation\/booking number, passenger name, dates, itinerary and price;<\/li>\n
  10. Proof of accommodation<\/strong> (one of the following):\n
      \n
    1. If the lodging is provided by the Italian education institution, the letter of acceptance must mention where the student will be lodged (campus, dormitory, or other);<\/li>\n
    2. Should the lodging not be included in the acceptance letter, then a proper accommodation must be submitted along with the acceptance letter as follows:\n
        \n
      1. An hotel or Airbnb accommodation confirmed for at least the first period of the study program (minimum of two weeks);<\/li>\n
      2. Copy of a lease, dated and signed. Please note that the\u00a0registration of the lease with the Italian Tax Agency is mandatory by law<\/u><\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      3. If you are staying with an individual legally residing in Italy they must fill out and mail you in original<\/u> a \u201cDeclaration of Hospitality\u201d (Link<\/a>) with a photocopy of their Italian passport or, if your host is a foreign citizen living in Italy they must provide a copy of their national passport and a valid Italian permit of stay (Permesso di soggiorno).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Travel medical insurance<\/strong>: It must be issued in Georgia or in Italy, and must cover at least the first period of the stay in Italy (minimum of two weeks). It must state your full name and validity dates. The letter from your insurance company must state that you will be covered for any medical expenses, hospitalization and repatriation for at least 30,000 Euros during your stay in Italy;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
        2. Proof of financial means of <\/strong>support: <\/strong>These are quantified at a minimum of 534,41 Euros per month, equivalent to 6.947,33<\/strong> Euros per year (13 monthly payments), for each month of the academic year (INPS Circular no. 197 of 23\/12\/2021).
          \nFinancial availability must be proven with personal or parental financial resources, or made available by foreign or Italian citizens regularly residing in Italy or provided by Italian Institutions and accredited financial bodies, including universities, or by local governments or by foreign institutions and bodies considered reliable by the Italian diplomatic Mission.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Important note on financial means<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n

          Submitting documentation of the only personal bank accounts may not be sufficient. Applicants are required to demonstrate that they hold the financial means that will be evaluated by the Embassy according to the legal requirements.<\/p>\n
